Social Affairs Minister moves to dissolve six associations in public interest
Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr Amthal Al-Huwailah has issued decisions to dissolve six officially registered non-profit organizations, professional/community societies, based on considerations of the public interest.
Under the decisions, the boards of directors and employees of the associations are prohibited from disposing of the associations’ funds or documents. They must also hand over all funds, documents and other items in their custody to persons designated by the Ministry of Social Affairs to carry out the liquidation procedures.
The decisions published in the official gazette Kuwait Alyawm in its Sunday edition include the Kuwaiti Association for Interior Design, Kuwaiti Diving Association, Kuwaiti Insurance Association, and Kuwaiti Association for Sports Sciences, Kuwaiti Association for Municipal Work, and Life Skills Association.
The decisions provide for the associations to be dissolved and for the required liquidation procedures to be carried out by those designated by the ministry.
