
The Public Authority for Industry issued a package of decisions that included closing 21 industrial establishments in eight industrial areas, such as Al-Rai, Shuwaikh Industrial, Al-Mirqab Industrial, Al-Na’ayem, Amghara, Subhan Industrial, Al-Sulaibiya, Kabd, and Mina Abdullah Industrial.
The authority confirmed in separate decisions which are published in the Official Gazette that the closures included 16 plots whose rental dues had not been paid and which had been utilized until June 31, 2026, in addition to 5 others for several reasons, including the expiration of licenses, practicing an activity contrary to what was allocated to, making wooden coffins for the dead, encroachment on state property, illegal workers’ housing, and others.
The authority has granted one-month grace period from the date of closure to remove the violations or pay the fines, stressing that in case of non-compliance, stricter measures will be taken against violators in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
