Minister Sheikh Firas Al-Sabah of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs Sunday inaugurated the Family Care Unit within the Family Care Sector in Al-Mutlaa City, underscoring the commitment of state sectors to engage with civil society families. The initiative aims to identify challenges and offer solutions that contribute to societal development.
Acting Undersecretary Abdulaziz Al-Mutairi emphasized the Ministry’s dedication to executing all entrusted projects, mandated by the Council of Ministers to enhance services in contemporary regions. Al-Mutairi further highlighted the Minister’s directive for the swift implementation of facilities in the Al-Mutlaa residential area, following the successful completion of services in Sabah Al-Ahmad and Al-Wafra residential areas, reports Al-Rai daily.
He clarified that the Ministry is actively working to finalize projects that benefit the residents of the region, including the cooperative association and units affiliated with the Ministry’s sectors, such as the family care sector. This aligns with the Council of Ministers’ directives to expedite projects catering to citizens in modern areas.
Assistant Undersecretary for Development Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi, emphasized that this opening marks the initial phase, with subsequent stages planned to rapidly implement services for citizens in the most effective manner.
Director of the Family Welfare Department in the Ministry’s Social Development Sector, Sarah Al-Dosari, highlighted that this newly inaugurated building in Al-Mutlaa addresses the citizens’ needs, serving as a hub for social assistance requests and file renewals for residents in the area.
Al-Dosari commended the dedicated efforts of the work team in accelerating the unit’s opening, marking the first step toward completing additional development projects assigned to the Ministry to provide exemplary services to citizens.
