Security sweep results in arrest of 10 men, seizure of meth, Lyrica, firearms and cash

The Ministry of Interior announced the Directorate-General for Drug Control carried out a series of separate security operations that resulted in the arrest of 10 men involved in drug trafficking and drug consumption cases across Kuwait.
According to the ministry, authorities seized nearly 3 kilograms of narcotics during the operations, including 1.1 kilograms of crystal meth and 2 kilograms of Lyrica powder. Officers also confiscated 2,218 Lyrica capsules, four Captagon pills and additional psychoactive substances.
The security raids further led to the seizure of 60 bottles of locally manufactured alcohol; three firearms and two highly sensitive weighing scales allegedly used in drug distribution activities.
Investigators also confiscated 8,179 dinars believed to be proceeds from narcotics sales, the ministry said in its statement.
All the suspects, along with all seized drugs, weapons and materials, were referred to the competent authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures and investigations.
