Security dragnet ends in arrest of three escaped prison inmates

Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday the arrest of the three escaped prisoners who had previously escaped from correctional facilities following intensive security operations, precise investigations and continuous pursuit efforts that led authorities to locate and apprehend them.
In a press release, the ministry said the arrests were the result of a rapid security response and effective field coordination, represented by the General Department of Criminal Investigations, with support from Special Security Forces and the Police Aviation Wing.
The ministry pointed out that security personnel tracked the fugitives, identified their locations, arrested them and returned them to the relevant authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures.
It noted that the operation also resulted in the seizure of two firearms found in the possession of the escapees, prompting authorities to deal with the situation in accordance with established security procedures.
The ministry stressed that security personnel will continue carrying out their duties with firmness and vigilance in pursuing and arresting anyone who violates the law or threatens public security and order.
It reaffirmed that the security of society is a red line and that justice will reach anyone who attempts to evade legal accountability or provide assistance to wanted persons and outlaws.
