Security authorities detain 29 as Kuwait tightens grip on security breaches

. . . cracks down on lawlessness; mass traffic sweep uncovers thousands of violations, dozens arrested

The General Traffic Department has referred 29 individuals, including six Kuwaitis and 23 expatriates, to the concerned security authorities for photographing, what the Ministry of Interior called, a sensitive site which was attacked recently by the Iranian aggressors.

The move comes as part of intensified security measures aimed at monitoring violations and safeguarding vital installations, particularly amid heightened regional tensions, reports Al-Rai daily.

Meanwhile, during a security crackdown, traffic officers recorded 2,327 violations last Friday alone, while 22 expatriates were arrested for residency-related offenses, and others on whom arrest warrants had been issued.

The authorities also detained individuals found in an abnormal condition and motorists caught driving without a valid license.

Traffic-related offenses included 79 citations for mobile phone use while driving, 44 for failing to wear seat belts, and 43 violations linked to illegal window tinting were also issued.

A security source confirmed that all violators have been referred to the relevant authorities for legal action,
