SDC reviews regional developments; national emergency preparedness

The Supreme Defense Council (SDC) convened at Bayan Palace under the chairmanship of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. The meeting was also attended by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah.

The council reviewed the latest developments in the region and strongly condemned the missile attack on Al Udeid Air Base in the sisterly State of Qatar, describing it as a blatant violation of Qatari sovereignty, international law, and the United Nations Charter, reports Al-Rai daily.

Additionally, the council was briefed on the significant efforts by various national authorities to manage potential emergencies, highlighting their preparedness and the high level of coordination across different sectors.

The meeting reaffirmed the country’s readiness to face any crisis and maintain security amid evolving regional challenges.
