Sahel enables public to report to PAM eight labor violations electronically

The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has activated a service allowing individuals to electronically report eight types of labor market violations through the “Balaghni” service on the Sahel application, as part of efforts to strengthen oversight, protect workers’ rights and curb illegal labor practices.
PAM said the service enables everyone to report violations falling within its regulatory jurisdiction, with users able to identify the location of the violation and attach photographs documenting the case. The information is intended to support monitoring and facilitate the follow-up of reported violations.
The violations covered by the service include domestic worker recruitment offices or companies dealing with returned or previously recruited workers, as well as recruitment agencies charging additional fees without providing a receipt or contract. The service also covers reports concerning undocumented workers, breaches of safety and security regulations in public places, and human rights violations involving violence.
Other reportable violations include employing workers in activities not designated for their gender and employing workers under the age of 18. PAM also allows reports to be filed against employers who violate the ban on outdoor work during the summer midday period, from 11 am to 4 pm.
The reporting process is completed electronically by selecting the type of violation, providing details, specifying its geographical location and attaching a photograph of the violation before submitting the report. After submission, the user receives a notification containing a report number, enabling the case to be identified and followed up through the electronic service.
