Police probe Farwaniya mall brawl after young women trade accusations

When a heated argument between two young women at an upscale shopping mall in the Farwaniya Governorate escalated into a verbal abuse, physical confrontation, and the misuse of a mobile phone, mall security intervened to defuse the situation before both women were escorted to the police station.
One of the women claimed she was publicly insulted, physically assaulted, and subjected to the misuse of a mobile phone following an argument inside the mall.
The second woman denied the allegations, insisting that she was the victim of verbal abuse and accusing the other woman of filming her during the altercation, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to reports the security authorities were expected to review the mall’s surveillance camera footage, as both women have provided conflicting accounts of the incident and there were no independent witnesses to determine how the dispute began or who initiated the confrontation.
