Police bust three-man gang of Asians for robbing bus passengers in Farwaniya

The security authorities have arrested a three-man gang Bangladeshis accused of systematically robbing passengers aboard public buses across multiple areas in the Farwaniya Governorate.
The operation was carried out by the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station.
According to the ministry, this happened after a ticket inspector working for the public transport company, alerted the authorities about repeated theft incidents targeting passengers on buses, reports Al-Rai daily.
Following coordination with the informant, security teams launched surveillance operations to track the suspects and verify the report, leading to the identification and arrest of the accused.
The ministry stated that surveillance camera footage inside buses confirmed the thefts, providing direct evidence of the gang’s involvement in targeting commuters during transit.
During the arrest, the authorities also recovered 333 dinars cash believed to be proceeds from the thefts.
The accused and the seized items have been referred to the competent authorities for legal proceedings, while investigations into their activities continue.
The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing security campaigns aimed at apprehending offenders and urged the public to report violations through the emergency hotline 112.
