Parliament speaker adjourns National Assembly session to May 14

Parliament Speaker Saleh Ashour adjourns the National Assembly session to May 14.

Ashour stated, “This session, convened in accordance with Article 87 of the Constitution, aims to dispel any constitutional concerns. Article 87 mandates the National Assembly to convene the first day after the two-week post-election holiday, taking into account Articles 97 and 116, along with Article 68 of the National Assembly’s internal regulations. Thus, the session will adjourn until Tuesday, May 14.

Several representatives had arrived at the council this morning for the session.
