PAI shuts down 39 industrial plots across Kuwait over licensing violations
The authority has given violators one-month grace period from the date of closure to address the issues and rectify the violations.

The Public Authority for Industry during what it called ‘the compliance drive’, ordered the closure of 39 industrial plots across eight key areas as part of efforts to strengthen regulatory oversight and ensure adherence to licensing and safety requirements.
The industrial plots were targeted in Fahaheel, Al-Mirqab, Shuwaikh Industrial, East, Al-Rai, Amghara and South Amghara, the Jahra Expansion, and Al-Shuaiba.
The authority said the closures were issued following multiple violations, including expired industrial licenses, inactive plots, construction carried out without official approvals, and the use of areas beyond approved plot boundaries.
Other violations included operating without valid fire safety approvals and conducting industrial, commercial, or craft activities without the necessary permits.
The decisions, published in the official gazette “Kuwait Alyawm,” form part of the authority’s ongoing efforts to enhance standards of compliance, improve industrial site management, and ensure that businesses operate within the framework of approved regulations.
The authority has granted violators a one-month grace period from the date of closure to address the outstanding issues and rectify the violations.
PAI warned that failure to comply within the specified period would result in further legal action and stricter measures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
The latest move reflects the government’s continued push to organize the industrial sector, improve safety standards, and promote a more efficient and regulated business environment.
