Baldocci: The exhibition reflects the aspects of culture and civilization of Italy.

The Italian Ambassador, H.E. Carlo Baldocci, inaugurated the exhibition ‘DIVA! Italian Glamour in Fashion Jewellery‘, on 17th May, at Contemporary Art Platform (CAP), in Shuwaikh.

The exhibition, which will continue until June 18th is administrated by the curator Professor Alba Cappellieri with Polidesign, and focuses on the creative intersections of jewellery with the Italian excellence in crafts, design and fashion, presenting exclusive pieces.

His Excellency expressed his happiness to present “DIVA” jewelry to the Kuwaiti public, which is a collection of Italian jewelry designs, noting that it is an important thing in Italy because it reflects the cultural and civilized aspects. It also combines the aesthetics of the ancient heritage, creativity and choice of materials. He explained that the “DIVA” jewelry exhibition is touring all over the region, and for the first time it is held in the State of Kuwait.

The exhibition is administrated by the curator Professor Alba Cappellieri with Polidesign, and focuses on the creative intersections of jewellery with the Italian excellence in crafts, design and fashion, presenting exclusive pieces. It is noteworthy that Italian jewelry has historically been one of the most sought-after products in international markets that are concerned with elegance and fashion, and the exhibition offers the public the opportunity to explore exceptional pieces of Italian jewelry with various designs, and the metals from which they are made of gold and precious stones vary.

Italian jewellery recognize the formal elegance, the creative energy, the manufacturing quality and the attention to materials and workmanship that make the Made in Italy trademark unique. Jewellery engages many sectors, from art to archaeology, design and finance, but its relationship with fashion represents the intersection of two industries of Italian excellence, in the synergy between fashion designers and fashion jewellery makers but also the construction of the value of Italian fashion. Fashion jewellery is jewellery made by fashion designers, costume jewellery makers and independent designers, where the value is not found in the use of precious materials but instead in the intangible value of creativity, craftsmanship and innovation. This is why Italian fashion jewellery represents an extraordinary concentration of culture, beauty and manufacturing to be valued.
