New traffic signal warning system activated across Kuwait

The General Traffic Department has activated a new pre-signal warning light feature to alert drivers and pedestrians shortly before traffic signals change.
The system is designed to give road users advance warning, allowing drivers to prepare to stop or proceed and helping pedestrians prepare to cross more safely.
The Ministry of Interior said the measure is part of ongoing efforts to enhance traffic safety, improve road-user awareness and ensure smoother traffic flow.
The new warning feature is intended to provide drivers and pedestrians with additional time to respond to upcoming signal changes, contributing to safer and more orderly movement at intersections.
