Nazaha launches third phase of ‘Adaa’ initiative to boost govt integrity

The Public Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has launched the third phase of its “Adaa” initiative, to activate professional codes of conduct across government entities.

A series of introductory workshops were held as part of the rollout, drawing 118 participants from 27 government agencies, with the total number of initiative beneficiaries now reaching 24,000.

Eng. Abrar Al-Hamad, Assistant Secretary-General for Prevention at Nazaha, stressed that the activation of job codes aligns with both the United Nations Convention against Corruption and Kuwait’s national anti-corruption strategy.

She highlighted the progress in employee awareness observed during previous phases and praised the active participation of the involved institutions.

Yasmine Al-Sharhan, Nazaha’s Civil Society Cooperation Monitor, presented the initiative’s objectives and implementation stages, emphasizing the role of codes of conduct in building a transparent and fair work environment grounded in accountability, equal opportunity, and integrity.

The workshops aim to help government entities meet key compliance milestones and transform workplace culture. The initiative envisions a professional, efficient, and productive public sector supported by clear behavioral standards and strong institutional values.
