Municipality moves to remove 57 unauthorized event halls

As the Municipality bulldozers commenced the removal of temporary event halls in three governorates following the expiration of the legal deadline for prior warnings, the Director of the Public Relations Department and official spokesperson for the municipality, Muhammad Al-Sindan, announced that a total of 57 event halls are set for demolition.

Al-Sindan told Al-Rai that the targeted halls for removal are spread across three governorates, with 26 halls in Ahmadi Governorate (including 3 in Al-Raqqa, 4 in Al-Dhahr, and 19 south of Al-Sabahya), 16 halls in Farwaniya Governorate, and 15 halls in Jahra Governorate.

Furthermore, Al-Sindan noted that several hall owners responded and cooperated by dismantling the main halls. He stated that the removal decision officially took effect on Sunday, 2nd March, in accordance with the ministerial directive, as part of preparations to enforce regulations on temporary event tents.
