H.H. the Prime Minister, HSBC CEO discuss financial and investment cooperation
His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah received HSBC Group CEO Georges Elhedery and his accompanying delegation during their visit to Kuwait. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in the financial, banking and investment sectors.
The meeting reviewed opportunities to expand the partnership between Kuwait and HSBC in ways that support economic development and reinforce Kuwait’s position as a regional and international financial and commercial hub.
The discussions also underscored the scope for greater cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly in financial services, banking and investment, as Kuwait seeks to strengthen its economic standing and attract investment.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Dr Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director-General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority, and Sheikh Khaled Mohammed Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, Acting Head of the Prime Minister’s Office.
