Municipality issues 12 citations in Farwaniya crackdown on construction breaches
Kuwait Municipality conducted extensive field inspection campaigns on construction projects in the Farwaniya Governorate today (Monday) to monitor violations and ensure compliance with building regulations and licensing requirements.
Engineer Saeed Al-Azmi, Director of the Engineering Audit and Follow-up Department at the Farwaniya branch, stated in a press release on the sidelines of the municipality’s tour of the Ardhiya Industrial Area that the inspection teams are committed to providing a safe environment that contributes to achieving Kuwait Municipality’s goals and vision of a sustainable and modern environment.
Al-Azmi added that the inspection team issued 12 building code violations during their field tour, ranging from encroachment on state property to the installation of partitions within commercial premises.
He emphasized that the municipality’s inspection teams will not hesitate to take regulatory measures in accordance with the building code and ensure adherence to its regulations, as negligence in this regard could endanger the lives of citizens and residents.
He stressed the importance of adhering to municipal regulations and laws, noting that the supervisory teams of the engineering audit and follow-up departments in all governorates are paying close attention to enforcing Kuwait Municipality’s regulations and systems through field campaigns across the country.
