MoI urges public to avoid damaged sites amid ongoing attacks

Ministry of Interior urged citizens and residents to stay away from damaged sites and avoid gathering near affected areas to ensure their safety and allow specialized teams to carry out their field operations efficiently.
The call was made by Director General of the General Department of Security Relations and Media and official spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier Nasser Bousalaib, during a media briefing on the latest developments following the ongoing Iranian attacks on Kuwait.
Bousalaib said the continued targeting of residential areas, civilian locations and vital facilities by what he described as the “Iranian aggression” reflects a hostile approach aimed at undermining security and endangering lives and property.
He added that Terminal 1 at Kuwait International Airport was targeted in a serious escalation by several hostile drones on Wednesday morning, resulting in the death of one traveler, injuries among airport staff and passengers, and significant damage to airport facilities and operational infrastructure.
The spokesperson noted that warning sirens had been activated five times during the past hours, bringing the total number of activations since the beginning of the attacks to 188. He also said explosive ordnance disposal teams had dealt with 36 reports related to falling debris and unidentified objects linked to defensive interception operations, raising the total number of such reports handled since the start of the attacks to 975.
During the briefing, Brigadier Bousalaib presented visual footage highlighting the procedures followed in responding to reports involving debris and unidentified objects. He renewed the ministry’s warning against touching or tampering with any unidentified objects, fragments or remnants resulting from interception operations due to the serious risks they may pose, urging the public to immediately report such items through the emergency hotline (112) so that specialized teams can respond appropriately.
