Kuwait Air Defense Intercepts 13 Ballistic Missiles and 17 Drones
Defense Ministry confirms hostile projectiles targeted civilian facilities, including Kuwait International Airport
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced that the country’s air defense systems successfully intercepted and neutralized 13 ballistic missiles and 17 drones since the early hours of today, as part of ongoing efforts to safeguard the nation’s airspace and ensure public safety.
According to the ministry, the missiles and drones entered Kuwaiti airspace amid heightened regional tensions. Air defense units responded immediately, tracking and engaging the incoming threats with a high degree of efficiency and readiness.
The ministry confirmed that all interceptions were carried out in accordance with established defense protocols, emphasizing that the Armed Forces remain on full alert to protect Kuwait’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security.
Authorities also noted that relevant agencies are closely monitoring developments and coordinating with security and civil authorities to maintain stability and ensure the safety of residents and critical infrastructure.
