Ministry of Interior offers evening slots for residency status updates

Allocating the period from 2 pm to 5 pm during Ramadan aims to accommodate the maximum number of people benefiting from the grace period for violators.

During the holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Interior has designated an evening period from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm for residents who need to amend their status in the country to visit the residency affairs departments in various governorates.

A security source informed Al-Rai newspaper that the residency affairs departments are receiving violators who seek to amend their status after paying the fine in accordance with the regulations and procedures. They are also assisting violators of residency laws who face administrative or judicial obstacles in assessing the requirements for obtaining residency.

The source pointed out that allocating the period from 2 pm to 5 pm during the holy month aims to accommodate the largest possible number of people benefiting from the grace period granted to violators.

The Ministry of Interior has granted a grace period to individuals violating the residency law until June 17, 2024, to amend their status or leave the country for those who cannot pay the fine or adjust their status.
