Kuwait, NATO discuss coordinated efforts to promote regional stability

Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya received Javier Colomina, the Special Representative of the NATO Secretary-General for the Southern Neighborhood, during his official visit to Kuwait on Thursday, underscoring ongoing cooperation between Kuwait and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the meeting highlighted the strong bilateral ties between Kuwait and NATO, reviewed key regional and international developments, and addressed shared security concerns, with both sides agreeing to continue coordinating efforts to enhance regional security and stability.
Separately, Deputy Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah also met with Colomina to explore opportunities for deeper cooperation, particularly in light of Kuwait’s role as host of the NATO Regional Center for the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI) countries.
In another diplomatic engagement, Minister Al-Yahya received the credentials of Dr. Brahima Diakite Kaba, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Liberia to Kuwait, during a ceremony at the Ministry’s headquarters.
Al-Yahya extended his best wishes to Ambassador Kaba for success in his diplomatic mission, expressing hope for stronger relations and continued progress in bilateral ties between Kuwait and Liberia.
