Ministry of Interior enforces Kuwaiti flag only at Husseiniyas
The ministry explains that it is obligatory not to raise any banners, canvases, or flags and only one banner without any slogans is allowed on Husseiniyas.
• The Ministry of Interior calls on everyone to adhere to the instructions of the coordination meeting between the ministry and Husseiniya supervisors and to cooperate fully with security personnel during the establishment of rituals in Muharram.
The General Directorate of Relations and Security Media announced that, in conjunction with the beginning of the month of Muharram and based on the coordination meeting between the Ministry of Interior and the supervisors of Al-Husseiniyat, actions will be taken following the instructions and recommendations from the Council of Ministers meeting, as reported by Al-Qabas newspaper.
The Ministry of Interior explains that it is obligatory not to raise any banners, canvases, or flags other than the flag of the State of Kuwait. Only one banner without any slogans is allowed on Husseiniyas.
It is strictly forbidden to place any tents or stalls outside the Husseiniya wall for any reason; otherwise, they will be removed immediately. It is also now allowed to hold any marches.
The ministry confirms that security personnel are present within the Husseiniya area to regulate traffic and maintain security. Therefore, it is forbidden for volunteers to participate in any organizational activities outside the Husseiniya wall, such as directing vehicle traffic or organizing the seating of visitors in the external squares.
The ministry calls on everyone to adhere to the instructions of the coordination meeting between the Ministry of Interior and Husseiniya supervisors and to cooperate fully with security personnel during the establishment of rituals.
It also urges individuals to seek assistance from security personnel when needed. The Ministry of Interior will apply the law with full firmness to anyone who does not abide by the organizational laws to preserve the safety of everyone.
