Ministry of Information announces launch of specialized news channel in July

Kuwait TV’s Channel One, set to launch in July, will broadcast news bulletins around the clock, along with news summaries, cultural programs, and talk shows.

Kuwait TV’s Channel One will utilize the latest technologies and techniques in television broadcasting, filming, and directing in studios operating at the highest standards.

The channel’s policy will align with Kuwait’s foreign policy on external issues and will strive to highlight the most important local events and achievements, serving as an informational front for the country.

On Monday, the Ministry of Information announced the launch of a specialized news channel in July, aimed at keeping pace with local, regional, and international events.

Following a meeting between Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture, and ministry leaders, Dr. Bader Al-Anzi, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Information and Undersecretary for News and Political Programs, stated that the new channel will broadcast news bulletins around the clock, along with news summaries, cultural programs, and talk shows.

Dr. Al-Anzi emphasized that the channel’s policy will align with Kuwait’s foreign policy on external issues and will strive to highlight the most important local events and achievements, serving as an informational front for the country.

He noted that the channel will be guided by the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, focusing on highlighting and clarifying government work and achievements. It will also follow the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister, to ensure close cooperation between the media and the achievements of ministries, bodies, and state institutions.

Dr. Al-Anzi explained that the channel will utilize the latest technologies and techniques in television broadcasting, filming, and directing in studios operating at the highest standards, benefiting from the expertise and technical crews at the Ministry of Information.

He added that the meeting also discussed the new programming cycle for Kuwait TV’s Channel One, which will launch in July under a new media policy. This policy includes a variety of programs catering to all segments of society, encompassing cultural, social, artistic, and entertainment content, with the aim of making Kuwait Television a screen for the whole family.
