Ministry approves new structure for Supreme Council for Family Affairs
The organizational structure includes a Secretary-General, two Assistant Undersecretaries, and seven departments overseeing various sectors like Family Care, Advisory Services, Psychological Counseling, Legal, Financial, and Administrative Affairs, and Information Systems.

Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, has approved the new organizational structure of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs. The structure includes a Secretary-General at the rank of Undersecretary, two Assistant Undersecretaries overseeing Family Care, Advisory Services, Psychological Counseling, Legal, Financial, and Administrative Affairs, and Information Systems, along with seven departments, reported Al Jarida newspaper.
According to ministry sources, the structure has been submitted to the Civil Service Bureau for approval before its inclusion in the Bureau’s integrated automated systems.
The sources noted that following the issuance of Ministerial Resolution No. (49/2025), all detailed responsibilities were transferred from the Social Development Office (Al-Mughla) to the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.
They explained that the seven departments are distributed as follows: three under Legal, Financial, Administrative Affairs, and Information Systems; two under Family Care, Advisory Services, and Psychological Counseling; and two under the Secretary-General’s Office.
