Minister of Awqaf pledges continued support for Kuwait Autism Center’s growth and excellence
The Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Wasmi, affirmed today, Thursday, the support of the Kuwait Autism Center to strengthen its role as a leading institution in caring for individuals with autism, and highlighted the importance of attracting Kuwaiti talents to work at the center.
This statement was issued by the Ministry to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), following a visit by Minister Al-Wasmi to the Kuwait Autism Center. During the visit, he emphasized that the Ministry would coordinate with the General Secretariat of Endowments to address any challenges the center may face, ensuring continued excellence and innovation in providing its services.
The Minister highlighted the importance of the high-quality services provided by the center to meet the needs of individuals with autism. He praised the dedication of those in charge of the center for their commitment in offering the best possible care, emphasizing that this is both a national duty and a shared social responsibility by all.
Importantly, the Minister praised the diverse programs offered by the center, which include educational and therapeutic initiatives specifically designed for children with autism, as well as rehabilitation and recreational activities aimed at enhancing their life and social skills.
It is noteworthy that the Kuwait Center for Autism was established in 1994 as an endowment project of the General Secretariat of Endowments. It was the first regional educational and training center for autism in the Arab world.
