Minister Al-Huwailah leads inspections to ensure Ramadan market stability

The Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to supervising cooperative societies to ensure quality services, enhance their role in food security, and maintain consumer stability throughout the holy month.

  • The Ministry of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs is closely monitoring cooperative societies’ adherence to ministerial regulations governing cooperative work and ensuring that goods are provided in line with consumer requirements during the holy month of Ramdan.

Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, conducted an unannounced inspection of several cooperative societies across various governorates to assess their Ramadan preparations, monitor product availability and offers, and ensure compliance with ministry regulations, Al Rai newspaper reported.

Al-Huwailah confirmed in a press statement that the tour was part of her commitment to ensuring the availability of high-quality food products and monitoring special Ramadan offers in a way that meets consumer needs through organized mechanisms that prevent violations.

She emphasized that the ministry is closely monitoring cooperative societies’ adherence to ministerial regulations governing cooperative work and ensuring that goods are provided in line with consumer requirements during the holy month. She also stressed the importance of compliance with these regulations to maintain market stability and protect the rights of shareholders and consumers.

During the tour, Al-Huwailah met with several citizens and listened to their feedback on the services provided by cooperative societies. She affirmed that the Ministry places great importance on addressing public concerns and continuously improving cooperative work in line with the highest standards.

Al-Huwailah concluded her tour by reaffirming the ministry’s commitment to ongoing field supervision of cooperative societies to ensure the best services and strengthen their role in achieving food security and consumer stability during Ramadan.
