MEW advances water projects in Wafra residential city

The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy said significant progress has been made on water projects within the residential city of Wafra.

These projects, valued at approximately 14.289 million dinars, encompass the implementation of crucial infrastructure, including a main water line with an 800 mm diameter connecting the Wafra reservoirs to the residential city, as well as a project to construct a 1200 mm diameter water line from the Al-Zour Water Complex to the Al-Wafra reservoirs, reports Al-Jarida daily quoting sources.

The ministry has emphasized its dedication to completing all energy and water projects, particularly those serving new cities, within the designated timelines. This commitment is underscored by ongoing collaboration with various relevant government agencies to ensure the timely and efficient execution of these vital initiatives.

Meanwhile, the ministry currently has 229 vacant supervisory positions. It has reaffirmed its commitment to the decisions of the Civil Service Council pertaining to promotions, alongside adherence to Ministerial Resolution No. 103 of 2019, which introduces additional criteria for candidacy for supervisory roles.

Furthermore, the ministry has taken steps to address grievances regarding promotions by selection, referring all private complaints to the Civil Service Commission, as mandated by established procedures for handling grievances against administrative decisions.
