Municipality fosters renewal and efficiency in staffing process
In a move aimed at bolstering supervisory roles within the Kuwait Municipality, 64 employees and engineers underwent written tests today to vie for 12 supervisory positions across key municipal departments and branches. This initiative, spearheaded by Acting Deputy Director-General for Finance and Administrative Sector Affairs, Farhan Al-Ajmi, underscores the Municipality’s commitment to filling vacancies with fresh talent in alignment with the directives of Minister of Public Works and Minister of Municipality, Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, and Director-General of the Municipality, Eng. Saud Al-Dabbous.
The written tests, spanning 45 minutes each, focused on positions in monitoring various municipal functions, including food and markets, procurement, advertising licenses, and municipal services licenses across different governorates. Additionally, positions related to maintenance control and tenders and bids were also assessed, reports Al-Jarida daily.
Meanwhile, in a bid to maintain municipal standards, the emergency and rapid intervention team of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate Municipality branch conducted extensive field tours, cracking down on violations and encroachments on state property. Headed by Nasser Al-Hajri, the team issued 19 violations against individuals engaged in waste sorting and tampering in the Sabhan Industrial Area, emphasizing the Municipality’s commitment to enforcing regulations and deterring infractions.
Al-Hajri urged real estate and shop owners, as well as workers, to adhere strictly to municipal laws and regulations to avoid penalties, affirming the supervisory team’s unwavering resolve in enforcing legal measures against violators. Through these concerted efforts, the Kuwait Municipality aims to ensure efficiency, compliance, and the continued provision of high-quality services to the community.
