MET predicts strong winds to persist until Saturday

Director of the Meteorology Department, Dharar Al-Ali, said active wind conditions will continue across the country until next Saturday.
According to weather maps, he said, daytime wind speeds are expected to exceed 55 kilometers per hour, significantly reducing horizontal visibility — particularly in open and desert areas.
Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Ali noted that nighttime wind speeds will decrease slightly, though they may still reach up to 40 kilometers per hour in some desert regions.
He warned drivers to remain cautious due to poor visibility on the roads, and advised beachgoers to stay vigilant as waves are forecast to rise above six feet.
Al-Ali urged all citizens and residents to stay updated by regularly checking the Meteorology Department’s official website, mobile app, and social media channels for the latest weather developments.
