Labour monitoring turns electronic

A source in the Public Authority for Manpower spoke about cooperation with the IT Department to build electronic systems for worker’s complaints and absence reports, among other services.

The source stressed the Authority’s commitment towards employers to remain within the laws and regulations governing labor relations. The source pointed out that electronic services enable private sector workers to obtain copies of important documents, and they could register complaints of labor and work permit disputes as well as follow up on the progress of the complaint.

The source stressed that through the electronic service, both parties to the employment relationship can be notified of any new developments regarding disputes or absence through a text message. The source indicated that it is possible to follow up on the complaint by selecting the Authority’s electronic services or even via the “Sahel” application.
