Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, headed a government delegation on a recent inspection tour of critical infrastructure sites, such as the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port on Boubyan Island. The Kuwaiti delegation was accompanied by a team of Chinese government experts and engineers specializing in large-scale development projects.

This visit marks a significant step forward in the implementation of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port project, a cornerstone of the strategic partnership established during His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s visit to China last September.

The discussions between minister Al-Mashaan and the Chinese delegation focused on fostering technical and economic collaboration, particularly regarding large-scale projects in Kuwait.

Technical discussions centered on strengthening ties in construction and project implementation. Proposals were exchanged to realize the vision of the Kuwaiti leadership for this project, considered a pillar of the nation’s development and economic aspirations.

The week-long visit included field tours of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port, alongside Doha Port and Shu’aib Port. The focus on Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port underscores its paramount importance within Kuwait’s development strategy.
