Four men hurt in drone crash near Dubai airport as Gulf-Iran strains escalate

Two drones crashed near Dubai International Airport (DXB) today (Wednesday), causing injuries but no disruption to air traffic, Dubai’s media office confirmed amid rising regional tensions and Iranian hostilities in the Gulf.

A total of four people were injured — two Ghanaian nationals and one Bangladeshi sustained minor injury, while an Indian national suffered moderate injury, according to Al-Arabiya.

“Air traffic is operating as normal,” the media office stated on X, assuring travelers that flights were unaffected.

The incident comes as Gulf countries continue to bear the brunt of Tehran’s retaliatory measures following the U.S. and Israel’s major aerial campaign against Iran on February 28.
