Kuwaiti leadership congratulates Pope Leo XIV on his election as head of Catholic Church

His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, sent a congratulatory cable to Pope Leo XIV, extending his heartfelt congratulations on the trust placed in him by the College of Cardinals in electing him as the new head of the Catholic Church, succeeding Pope Francis I.
In his message, His Highness conveyed his best wishes for the Pope’s continued success in promoting the values of tolerance, justice, and mutual respect among nations, as well as the principles of respect for divine religions.
His Highness also praised the strong and longstanding ties between the State of Kuwait and the Vatican, and wished the Pope good health and happiness, along with further progress and prosperity for the Vatican.
His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, also sent a cable to Pope Leo XIV, expressing his sincere congratulations and wishing the Vatican continued advancement and the Pope enduring health and well-being.
Likewise, His Highness the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, sent a similar cable extending his congratulations and best wishes.
