Kuwaiti Embassy in Thailand confirms all citizens safe after earthquake

The Embassy of Kuwait in Thailand reassured, today, Saturday, March 29, that all Kuwaiti citizens in Thailand and Myanmar are safe following the powerful earthquake that struck both countries yesterday on Friday.

The Acting Chargé d’Affaires at the Kuwaiti Embassy in Bangkok, Counsellor Abdul Mohsen Al-Fares, stated to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the embassy immediately coordinated with authorities in Thailand and Myanmar after the earthquake to confirm the safety of Kuwaiti citizens and ensure no Kuwaitis were among the victims.

Al-Fares added that the embassy is constantly in contact with major hospitals in Bangkok and Myanmar to confirm that no Kuwaiti citizens were injured in the earthquake.

Furthermore, Al-Fares assured that any Kuwaiti citizens in Thailand receiving medical treatment were safe and unaffected by the earthquake. He also confirmed the well-being of all embassy staff and their families too.

The Kuwaiti Embassy in Thailand urged its citizens across all Thai provinces to remain cautious following the earthquake in Bangkok and to follow official safety instructions.
