The price of Kuwaiti crude oil rose by US$2.51 to US$79.85 per barrel in Monday’s trading, up from US$77.34 per barrel recorded last Friday, according to figures released by the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC).
The increase reflects stronger sentiment in global oil markets, where benchmark crude prices also posted gains during the session.
Internationally, Brent crude futures advanced US$1.30 to settle at US$73.91 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures climbed US$1.52 to US$70.75 per barrel.
The latest rise in Kuwaiti crude comes as global oil markets continue to react to evolving geopolitical developments, supply expectations, and demand outlooks, which have contributed to increased price volatility in recent weeks.
