Kuwaiti businessmen to enjoy exclusive perks at Uzbekistan-Kuwait Business Forum

His Excellency Dr. Ayubkhan Yunusov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the country, invites Kuwaiti businessmen to the October 16-22 forum in Tashkent, Fergana, and Syrdarya and assures full embassy support for inquiries.

• His Excellency Dr. Ayubkhan Yunusov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kuwait, stated that Jazeera Airways operates six flights per week to Tashkent and Namangan, with most flights transporting pilgrims to Jeddah via Kuwait.

• Around 1,000 Kuwaitis visited Uzbekistan this year,  Kuwaiti citizens do not need an entry visa for visits of up to ten days,

• Uzbek fruits have entered Kuwaiti markets for the first time this year, with around ten tons of cherries, peaches, currants, and cantaloupes.

His Excellency Dr. Ayubkhan Yunusov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kuwait, in a statement to Kuwaiti media, has invited Kuwaiti businessmen to join the Uzbekistan-Kuwait Business Forum, scheduled from October 16 to 22 in Tashkent, Fergana, and Syrdarya. He assured that the embassy is ready to assist with any inquiries from Kuwaiti businesses,

The ambassador, mentioned the possibility of traveling to Uzbekistan via Jazeera Airways direct flights from Kuwait to Tashkent on October 14 and 15, with return flights from Tashkent to Kuwait on October 22 and 23.

The Uzbekistan ambassador explained that Jazeera Airways operates six flights per week to Tashkent and Namangan, with most flights transporting pilgrims to Jeddah via Kuwait.

He added that the trip will include attending the forum in Tashkent, a tour of the city’s landmarks, and many other events, which can be explored in detail on the website.

Ambassador Yunusov highlighted the facilities and benefits offered to Kuwaiti businessmen attending the forum. The Uzbek side will cover internal transportation costs in the cities of Tashkent and Kokand, located in the provinces of Fergana and Syrdarya, as well as lunch and dinner during the trip for those registered through the forum’s website. So far, more than sixty participants, including individuals and various Kuwaiti companies, have signed up.

He stated that around 1,000 Kuwaitis visited Uzbekistan this year, and that Kuwaiti citizens do not need an entry visa for visits of up to ten days. However, those wishing to stay longer must obtain a visa from the embassy within three days. He encouraged Kuwaitis to explore the vast tourism potential of Uzbekistan.

The ambassador also noted that Uzbek fruits have entered Kuwaiti markets for the first time this year, with around ten tons of cherries, peaches, currants, and cantaloupes arriving. Additionally, coordination is underway with local companies to import nuts from Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan sees 93% surge in FDI in 2023

Ambassador Yunusov stated that Uzbekistan has achieved significant success in attracting foreign direct investment(FDI), which increased by 93% in 2023, with total foreign trade reaching a record $62.6 billion. He noted that the country aims to reach $250 billion by 2030.
