Kuwait has welcomed the announcement of an agreement to implement a comprehensive peace plan for the Gaza Strip, reaffirming its support for the full implementation of the accord and calling for the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the territory.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the announcement made by US President Donald J. Trump regarding the agreement and praised the diplomatic efforts that led to the breakthrough.
The ministry commended the mediation and coordination efforts undertaken by Egypt, Qatar, Türkiye, the United States, the Peace Council, and all parties involved in securing the agreement.
Kuwait reiterated its commitment to supporting the implementation of the comprehensive peace plan and its subsequent phases in line with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803.
The ministry said the agreement should include the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip, the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian assistance, support for reconstruction efforts, and the return of the Palestinian Authority to administer the territory.
The statement further stressed that the agreement should serve as a stepping stone toward a comprehensive political process leading to a just and lasting peace.
