Kuwait, U.S. reinforce strategic alliance as H.H. the Amir, H.H. Crown Prince receive Rubio

His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received on Wednesday the United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, and the accompanying official delegation on the occasion of his official visit to Kuwait.
During the meeting, Secretary Rubio conveyed to His Highness the greetings and appreciation of U.S. President Donald Trump, along with his wishes for His Highness’s continued good health and for the State of Kuwait and its people to enjoy further progress and prosperity.
His Highness the Amir, in turn, conveyed his greetings to President Trump, wishing him good health and expressing hopes for continued prosperity and advancement for the United States and its people.
The discussions focused on the longstanding and deep-rooted relations between Kuwait and the United States, as well as ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across various sectors in a manner that serves the interests of both friendly nations.

The two sides also reviewed the latest regional and international developments, particularly the evolving situation in the Middle East, and emphasized the importance of supporting all efforts aimed at enhancing regional security, stability, and peace.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director of the Office of His Highness the Amir Lieutenant General (Retired) Jamal Mohammed Al-Dhiyab, Undersecretary of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Abdulaziz Meshaal Mubarak Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs at the Amiri Diwan Mazen Issa Al-Issa, and Kuwait’s Ambassador to the United States, Sheikha Zain Sabah Nasser Al-Saud Al-Sabah.
Earlier, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah also received Secretary Rubio and the accompanying delegation during their visit to Kuwait.
The meeting reviewed the distinguished historical ties between the two countries and discussed recent developments in the Middle East region, while reaffirming support for all initiatives aimed at preserving the region’s security and stability.
The meeting at Bayan Palace was attended by Head of the Crown Prince’s Diwan Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Ambassador Sheikha Zain Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, and several senior officials.
