Kuwait tightens donation controls, bans cash transfers to safeguard funds
The Ministry of Interior has urged citizens and residents to ensure that all donations and financial contributions are made strictly through official and approved channels within the country.
This includes government entities and licensed, recognized charitable organizations, using authorized bank transfers and verified electronic links.
Speaking during a media briefing, the Director General of the General Department of Security Relations and Media and ministry spokesperson, Brigadier General Nasser Bouslaib, stressed that cash donations are strictly prohibited, reports Al-Jarida daily.
He explained that the measure is aimed at ensuring funds reach their intended beneficiaries in a secure and organized manner, while preventing any potential misuse or involvement in unlawful activities.
On the security front, the ministry reassured the public that no threats or risks affecting Kuwait’s airspace were recorded over the past 24 hours.
