Kuwait revises family visa rules for non-graduate expats

In a move adopted by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Interior Sheikh Fahad Al Yousuf, an amendment has been made to the family visa regulations.

Informed sources reported to Al-Anba newspaper that this amendment now permits expatriates without a university degree, working in Kuwait, to sponsor their wives and children under the age of 14 for residency under this visa category.

Previously, this benefit was exclusively available to expatriates with a university degree.

It is crucial to note that a minimum salary requirement applies to sponsoring family members under this visa.

The sponsor must demonstrate a monthly income of at least 800 Kuwaiti dinars to be eligible.
