The Kuwait National Men’s Cricket Team, powered by Al Muzaini Exchange, is ready to compete in the prestigious ILT20 Men’s Gulf Cricket Championship 2024, scheduled in Dubai from December 13 to 21.
Kuwait Cricket Board (KCB) President, Mr. Haider Farman, and Director General, Mr. Sajid Ashraf, recently met with the team, led by Captain Aslam and coached by Qasim Ali, along with the High-Performance Committee (Naveen Jayan, Saud Qamar, Mewlyn Serrao, Tisekar Munaf, and Ali Talib). They congratulated the players on their impressive performances in recent tournaments, including qualifying for the ICC T20 World Cup Asia Finals in Malaysia and excelling in the ICC CWC Challenge League A in Kenya.
The delegation was honored with rewards and encouragement for their achievements in ICC pathway events. The KCB extended its best wishes for the team’s participation in the ILT20 Men’s Gulf Cricket Championship, which will feature six teams: UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.
The league matches will take place at the ICC Academy grounds, with the grand final set for the iconic Dubai International Stadium.
KCB has expressed confidence in the team’s preparations and their potential to secure the championship title. Former Kuwait National Team Manager Mahmoud Abdullah praised the team’s progress and readiness for international challenges.
