Kuwait Municipality steps up cleanliness removes 213 abandoned vehicles

Field inspection campaigns carried out by the Kuwait Municipality in Hawalli Governorate during March resulted in significant enforcement actions aimed at improving public cleanliness and reducing road obstructions.

According to the municipality, the supervisory teams from the Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy Department removed 213 abandoned vehicles, released 72 others, and placed 1,277 warning stickers on neglected cars and boats ahead of their scheduled removal, reports Al-Rai daily.

The campaigns also led to the issuance of 203 violations related to public hygiene and misuse of public space, alongside the replacement of 72 waste containers and the removal of 9,858 piles of debris across the governorate.

These efforts form part of ongoing inspection drives to monitor sanitation services, oversee cleaning contractors, and address issues such as street vendors and unauthorized road occupancy.

Authorities emphasized that the campaigns are being carried out across all areas of Hawalli to enhance cleanliness standards, remove visual pollution, and ensure compliance with regulations.

The municipality reaffirmed its commitment to continuing field inspections without leniency, taking strict legal action against violators to maintain public order and improve the urban environment.
