Kuwait Municipality: Camping season ends March 15
Kuwait Municipality announced that the 4-month official camping season ends on March 15 and called upon camp owners to commit to removing the camps voluntarily before that date.
The municipality confirmed in a statement that the Spring Camps Committee will hold a meeting next Sunday to discuss the on-field teams’ preparations to wrap up camps that do not adhere to the camping period that ends on 15 March 2024, stressing that camps will not be allowed after this date.
It called on camp owners to clean the camping sites and adhere to controls and requirements to avoid legal accountability. Environment Public Authority’s approval on the cleanliness of the camp site after removal is necessary to mitigate any environmental damage and is a prerequisite for recovering the KD 100 insurance amount after submitting a refund request to the municipality.
The municipality sent out awareness messages through various media channels, including social media. The messages were directed to camp license holders, to commit to removal and cleaning of the camp site so as to avoid any penalties or violations against it.
