Kuwait Interior Minister honors employee for foiling illegal entry attempt at Al-Salmi border
Employee honored for vigilance after biometric verification exposed traveler attempting to enter Kuwait using emergency document reserved for citizens

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, honored Saad Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, a member of the Al-Salmi border crossing administration in the border security sector, in recognition of his vigilance and dedication to performing his duties, which resulted in uncovering an attempt by a person to enter the country illegally through the Al-Salmi border crossing.
The details of the incident go back to a traveler who came to the Al-Salmi border crossing to enter the country with a Kuwaiti emergency entry document issued exclusively to Kuwaiti citizens. However, after conducting the inspection and verification of the biometric fingerprint, it became clear that the person had data registered in the State of Kuwait under another name, and he held a passport for a foreign country and was not a Kuwaiti citizen as he tried to pretend.
In light of the thorough procedures, the accused was referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures against him and to determine all the circumstances of the incident.
This recognition comes as part of the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to supporting and motivating outstanding national talents, and promoting a culture of vigilance and discipline at work that contributes to protecting the country’s security.
The ceremony was attended by the acting director of the Al-Salmi border crossing, Brigadier Ali Yousef Al-Tammar.
