Kuwait hosts 28th GCC civil service technical committee meeting
Discusses joint training, expertise exchange, and service quality; reviews modern policies to enhance civil service efficiency

The Civil Service Commission hosted the 28th meeting of the Technical Committee for Civil Service Affairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries today, bringing together representatives from relevant authorities across the region to strengthen cooperation in public sector development.
In a statement issued via its official account on the platform X, the CSC confirmed that the committee addressed all items on the agenda, which included key discussions on joint training programs, exchange of expertise, honoring distinguished competencies, and improving the quality of government services, reports Al-Rai daily.
The meeting also reviewed modern policies and legislative efforts aimed at enhancing the responsiveness and effectiveness of civil service systems across the GCC.
A central focus of the session was the development of the Gulf Strategic Plan for Civil Service (2026–2030), with committee members emphasizing the importance of aligning initiatives with emerging global trends, particularly digital transformation and corporate governance.
The participants affirmed the need for continued coordination and collaboration among GCC countries in human resource development, recognizing its importance in supporting institutional performance, innovation, and the overall efficiency of public sector operations.
The meeting underscored a shared commitment to advancing sustainable administrative development, in line with the ambitions of the GCC states to modernize government structures and improve services to citizens and residents alike.
