Kuwait enters new era of economic growth, eyes GCC integration

Engineer Noora Al-Fassam, Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, stated, ‘In Kuwait, we are launching major projects of national interest that also support collaboration with Gulf countries.’

“Our participation in Saudi Arabias “Future Investment Initiative” reflects our support for our brothers in the Kingdom and the significant role theyplay in achieving sustainable development,” commending the initiatives success and broad international participation, said Engineer Noora Al-Fassam.

Engineer Noora Al-Fassam, representing His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and serving as Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, affirmed that Saudi Arabia’s Future Investment Initiative plays a vital role in securing a sustainable future for humanity, according to Q8-Press.

In a joint statement to Kuwait TV and the Kuwait News Agency, Engineer Al-Fassam expressed her pride in representing His Highness the Amir of Kuwait at the Future Investment Initiative in Saudi Arabia.

She added, Our participation in this initiative reflects our support for our brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the significant role they play in achieving sustainable development, commending the initiative’s success and broad international participation.

Minister Al-Fassam noted that the initiative will address global challenges such as climate change, food security, and the future of energy through various dialogue sessions involving senior government officials and private sector leaders from around the world.

She emphasized that Kuwait’s participation aims to discuss and address these issues, as well as to develop strategic plans that promote sustainable development in the State of Kuwait.

On the sidelines of the initiative, she noted that she held several meetings with senior officials and international investors to advance Kuwait’s development plan, foster local economic growth, and strengthen bilateral partnerships.

In Kuwait, we are now in a phase of promoting economic growth and launching major projects of national interest that also support integration with GCC countries,” she said.

The minister added that these meetings included discussions on Kuwait’s 2035 vision and key projects, such as the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port, along with initiatives in oil, gas, renewable energy, technology, infrastructure, and housing.
