Kuwait cracks down on illegal medicine sales on social media

The Ministry of Health is actively coordinating with relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Interior, to apprehend social media site owners promoting the unauthorized sale of banned and prohibited medicines.

Sources stated in a statement to Al-Anbaa that this action was taken in response to the recent increase in the phenomenon of displaying and selling banned and forbidden medicines on certain social media platforms.

The sources highlighted that the Ministry of Health, in coordination with relevant authorities including the Ministry of Interior’s Cybercrime Department, is actively monitoring, investigating, controlling, and referring these sites to the judiciary.
