Kuwait continues with humanitarian aid to alleviate Lebanese people’s hardships
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, Ambassador Khaled Al-Mughamis, confirmed that the State of Kuwait is continuing to send relief convoys to the Lebanese people to alleviate their suffering amid the challenging circumstances they are currently facing.
In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) prior to the take-off of the sixth relief plane from the Kuwaiti airlift from Abdullah Al-Mubarak Air Base to Lebanon, carrying 40 tons of food, medical supplies, and blankets as part of the “Kuwait by Your Side” campaign, Al-Mughamis added that the relief mission of the Kuwait Red Crescent is driven by Kuwait’s principles and the eminent directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, to provide aid and assistance to those in need around the world.
Al-Mughamis highlighted the ongoing Kuwaiti relief efforts to assist those affected by the Zionist aggression on Lebanon, coordinated with the Kuwaiti embassy in Beirut and the Lebanese authorities, to distribute relief aid to the Lebanese people.
Significantly, Al-Mughamis expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Defense and the efforts and supervision of the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior, H. E. Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, in operating the relief airlift to Lebanon from Abdullah Al-Mubarak Air Base.
Al-Mughamis praised the efforts of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Social Affairs, as well as the donors, employees, and volunteers of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society for contributing to the success of this humanitarian mission.
In conclusion, Al-Mughamis emphasized the Society’s commitment to participating in the humanitarian efforts undertaken by the State of Kuwait to provide support and assistance to the Lebanese people.
