Kuwait is set to experience another day of intense summer heat today (Saturday), with temperatures expected to soar to 47°C, while rising humidity is likely to make conditions more uncomfortable in coastal areas, according to the Meteorology Department.
The department forecast very hot daytime weather, with northwesterly to variable winds blowing at light to moderate speeds ranging from 8 to 32 km/h. Coastal regions are expected to experience noticeable increases in relative humidity during the day.
By nightfall, conditions are expected to become warm and humid, particularly along the coast. Winds will remain variable to northwesterly, easing slightly to between 8 and 28 km/h.
The Meteorology Department said overnight temperatures are expected to fall to around 31°C, offering only limited relief from the daytime heat.
Authorities continue to advise the public to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours, remain well hydrated, and take necessary precautions against heat-related illnesses, particularly for outdoor workers, children, and the elderly.
